The Jazz Piano Club
The founding of Jazz Piano Club created in May 26, 1987
The Jazz Piano Club has established already for nine years so far. As its name suggests knows there are great relations with the jazz, no matter swing, blues, and bebop in the early jazz are or funk. All of these are important roles in our club's course. The melody part is an indispensable ring in jazz, too. When performers play extempore, not merely only but the left hand is worthy of accompanying. It is also important to make the new melody with the right hand. In the arrangements of the whole courses, the piano is a quite important role. In this society, we purchased a digit piano for the convenience of the performance. During the semester, we will hold a large-scale performance. To create the chances let the members' find out their own achievements in the hard work. And make members confident of one's own study achievement.
Our purpose To train students understanding of the music, to promote cultural cultivated manners and the art qualities. Whether you already had music foundation or the skills of playing instruments or not. As long as you want to know about the music more, to learn professedly , we will explain in detail from simple foundation theory of music to jazz performance, bringing you enter abundant and variety of jazz music world.
Our ambition From the based music theory to the scholarly jazz music, we expect students leaned adequately. We will hold the performances a periodically. The final performance is the best chance to let members show their effort in the semester. The ultimate purpose is making members could stand on the stage bravely and confidently. In recent years, we tried to innovate steadily. To overturn the thinking of the concert could only hold in the auditorium instead of Airy garden or somewhere in our school, to share the sweetly musical to every student or teacher in Ming Chuan. In addition to the piano performance, we choired other instruments or other associations like B and or H armonica Club together. We also joined other schools performances and planning to hold the associated musical performances.

爵士鋼琴社成立至今已有九年 爵士鋼琴顧名思義就知與爵士樂有極大的關係 不論是早期爵士樂中的 swing blues 以及 bebop 抑或是 funk 都是在我們社團課程中少不了的角色 當然除了節奏性的部分之外 旋律性的部分也是爵士樂中不可或缺的一環 亦即在樂手即興時 不單僅只是左手配伴奏 右手如何做出新旋律亦是相當的重要 為了配合整個課程的安排 鋼琴是相當重要的角色 也為了配合演出的方便 本社亦購置一台數位鋼琴 每學期本社亦會舉辦一次大型的發表會 以了解社員的學習成果 並使社員對自己的學習成果有信心
社團宗旨 培養學生對音樂的了解，提升文化素養、藝術氣質，無論是否有音樂基礎、學過樂器與否，只要想多認識音樂、有心學習，我們會先從簡易的基礎樂理到爵士音樂的應用講解，帶您進入豐富且變化多端的爵士音樂天堂。
社團目標 從基礎樂理，一直到高深的爵士音樂，待成員們充分學習後每學期除了不定期舉辦校園演出外，期末成果發表大會更是讓學員們一展長才的最佳良機，其目的是為了讓大家能勇敢的站上舞台。近幾年以來，我們不斷嘗試創新，顛覆了音樂會只能在禮堂的想法，將我們的音樂推廣至員各個角落，與全校師生共同分享音樂的美妙；除了鋼琴的表演，我們還增加與其他樂器的合奏，或是和其他社團一起演奏，像是管樂、口琴等。並參與外校表演活動，籌劃跨校聯合音樂表演。
